Skirt Story!
Happy Tuesday everyone! So as I posted the other night, I finally made a skirt with my own two hands! (Okay and my mother’s two hands. I’m not quite a pro-sewer yet.) I used a ridiculous floral pattern as you can see and it may be a little loud. However, the more I think about it, the more I love it! It is a bit poofy and I wish that were decreased a tad. So this week I think I shall...

Cooking Adventure!
So Wednesday night I had to imagine up a recipe using our new fresh farm veggies. Hmm… We were getting copious amounts of green, what’s one to do with that? And suddenly I was struck by the urge for an omelet. Yum. So thus, I told my mother it was omelet day. The omelet was going to be hard to orchestrate flipping wise, so we changed our minds and made a frittata. :) Chard and Feta...

I Blame My Mother
Oh mother. I love her dearly. But she didn’t take me to Joann’s this morning, hence my reason for pouting. :( She told me she’d take me tomorrow morning… Fine, fine, fine. She told me I wouldn’t do anything with it tonight because I was babysitting anyways… not the point at all. So dinner last night. It was delicious, mostly because I’m a sucker for...

Adorable headband. Also has some beautiful pictures. I’m so excited because I have these little flowers at home from some unknown undone craft project from gradeschool! So pumped. Can you say, late night project? :)

Because I currently have the insatiable urge to cook and bake things, I thought I’d share a compilation of recipes I’ve found. Recipe Book!

Hey, Check This Out!
So if you have a second (which you all do), you might want to check out my best friend’s blog. She writes about our generation’s music in a critical sort of way, with satirical humor and sarcasm. Additionally, she’s rather smart, so her blog is well written! Unlike mine. :) Check it out! Hang Around An Inkwell

My Cooking Sense are Tingling
Good afternoon! I’m currently at work, pondering the meaning of life, scouring the internet, imagining things I could be cooking, things I have to bake, skirts I need to sew, and books I need to read. I’m currently in the middle of reading “Rebel Angels” which is the sequel to “A Great and Terrible Beauty” (both by Libba Bray). Good books, the second one is...

That I had Photoshop. :| I probably wouldn’t even use it that much, but it makes pictures look somewhat more magical, especially when your camera isn’t really for legit picture taking.

A Word From The Not-So-Wise
(That’s me!) I will now proceed to prove to you the merits of meritless books. Wait, you say, Catharine, that doesn’t make sense. Yes, yes, it does. So I’m just gonna flat out admit it, I’m a huge fan of books that people scoff at in the bookstore. Heck, even I scoff at them! Books like, Pretty Little Liars, Kissed by an Angel, Fallen, Shiver, and Hush, Hush. (Not...

Shamalama Ding Dong
Well I’ll be darned.  Like every other blog I’ve ever started in the whole entire world, I’ve abandoned my Tumblr. One day someone will care about my life enough to creepily go and find all of my abandoned blogs of sorts. Only not really. Sometimes I feel very domestic. Ever had that feeling? The ol’, “OOH NOW I WANT TO BAKE AND SEW THINGS AND MAKE YOU FOOD AND...

Is It Bad That I Find This Funny? →
So now I don’t really get most of the nerds talking. I just mostly find it hilarious reading through (all of the) comments (yes that’s how much I don’t want to do homework). I don’t get most of it, but the stuff I vaguely get greatly amuses me. Nerds, therefore, should share their humor with the rest of the world. Oh no wait, I forgot then it wouldn’t be funny...

Here's Something That Should Annoy You
When a female who is not between the ages of 8 and 12 wears one of those shirts that says something like, “Kiss me before my boyfriend comes back.” Well, now that I think on that, that is never appropriate for wear. But, you know what I mean? Or those stupid little monkey shirts. Or panda, zebra, frog, or anything remotely like that. I hate those no matter who is wearing them, well...

Thanks to Chloe again, I was directed to these amusing photos. Following the Lead
Copying my friend Chloe, and took the “what religion do you fit in” test. Here’s my results. Huh, don’t even really know what the first few are. Interesting, eh? 1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%) 2. Liberal Quakers (85%) 3. Orthodox Quaker (83%) 4. Baha’i Faith (72%) 5. Unitarian Universalism (72%) 6. Just Wanted To Say
You know, pop in real quick (pronounced rull quick) to tell you a little insight I just had. When people think they’re being poetic they use oxymorons. I discovered the secret to artsy, pretentious, obnoxious, “deep” poetry. Use some dramatic imagery and then some contrasting words together. Here’s my try: Wind blows cooling my tame unbridled love Lava flows through the...

Oh So Sappy. →
Really? What have I been doing with my Sunday? Yes, scouring the internet and finding random things. Like this. That is so cheesy but it makes me smile. So silly, it reminds me of middle school diary entries. Wait, it pretty much is. Can’t say I haven’t participated in middle school diary entries, in fact I know I have and still do, eh? So are you cheesy enough to do this? Or does...

Absolutely Adorable. →
I’m not a total sap, not usually. But these pictures are adorable, and artsy, and make me want to skip around the country side and wear dresses and boots and kiss. Is that silly? They’re just so cute and kind of pretentiously artsy. But I mean, what artsy thing isn’t? By the fact that I’m calling it artsy kind of makes me pretentious, eh?  Whatever. :) C

How Eventful!
Hello world. This weekend was such an eventful weekend for me! I got to check off two of the things on my New Year’s Resolutions list. And it’s only January! 1. I got my cartilage pierced! It’s one of those little silver hoops with the metal ball. I was so nervous. My mom and I went into this place, Hot Rod Piercing Company, and it had loud music, but was actually painted a...

My favorite bit of this? “But, I think for me, it comes down to compatibility,” Ms. McFadden said. “Can you grow with me? Or as my genius friend the textile designer says, she asks on first dates or meeting men in bars, ‘Do you have a passport and a library card?’ That last line.

Success?
I have just finished the world’s most pathetic iPod case. Part knitting, part sewing, part felt, part ribbon, part elastic. What you think it sounds like a travesty? Well that’s because yes, yes it is. I should have just stuck with my old one. I don’t know why I was thinking that it would work out, ribbon doesn’t bend. That’s mostly where it went shifty. Maybe...

A Humorous and Witty View of the World
Only not really. I was slouching about on the interwebs one day, over email I believe it was, and was linked to a page. Maybe all you web savvy entrepreneurs have seen this already since you do nothing but find things on the net. But in any case. Oh, What a Saturday
Okay, yes it’s only the morning still, but I feel defeated, like the world has just decided to come down PLOP! on my head. After worrying all night about why I didn’t get a text, I finally get one at nearly 3 AM. Video games prevented a text, along with a failure of a phone. That doesn’t stop me from worrying every five minutes about whether there is still a connection there or...
