Once upon a time I thought it was a good idea and try and make a rainbow cake. The recipe seemed to make sense, you know, life was going well.
Well for some reason my pretty cake decided not to come out of the pan. Thus, craziness ensued and poor cake ended up sad. But it was still delicious, and it actually looks freaking awesome. I think I must have left it in the pan anyways.
So, the moral of the story is make a rainbow cake. But don’t leave it in the pan for a long time. Also, I only divided the batter into 1 1/3 cups instead of 1.5 cups. Who knows? And if you make this, realize that it will take a lot of food coloring to make the colors vibrant. Or your red will be pink!
And purple is hard color to make.
